Microids has unveiled a new Flashback 2 trailer, and you're in for a treat if you're a fan of the series. The trailer reintroduces the iconic Titan Jungle location, which will be familiar if you've played the original Flashback, and you'll once again be leaping and running across this artificial ecosystem as Conrad when the game launches later this year.

The rather endearing new trailer shows clips from the original Flashback and intersperses them with the more modern Titan Jungle that will feature in Flashback 2. Naturally, the jungle has had a visual overhaul, but otherwise, you'll likely get a sense of deja vu when you're exploring it. You can check the new trailer out here.

Throughout the trailer, we see Conrad running across light bridges just like in Flashback, as well as blasting robots to pieces and evading attacks from hostile enemy soldiers. We also see him leaping across chasms in classic cinematic platformer style, and the trailer shows areas from Titan Jungle in both Flashback and Flashback 2, just to show how far we've come since then. In short, it's a real treat if you're nostalgic for Flashback.

If you've missed out on Flashback 2 up until now, it's a sequel to the classic 1992 cinematic platformer Flashback. Published and developed by Microids alongside original Flashback creator Paul Cuisset, the game will once again star GBI investigator Conrad Hart as he fights off a Morph invasion. Microids promises an adventure that's true to the original Flashback, but packed with modern improvements to create a more fluid and welcoming experience.

Flashback 2 will launch for PC, PlayStation consoles, Xbox platforms, and Nintendo Switch on November 16th, according to a press release, although the new trailer simply lists the already-announced release window of November. Stay tuned for more on this nostalgic retro sequel.
