Today third-party developers shared news about three new airports coming for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
We start with Fly2High, which revealed a trailer of Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (LYBE), serving the capital of Serbia. The airport was announced back in May, and apparently, it's now almost ready for release.
Next is Everett Paine Field (KPAE) in the United States by Drzewiecki Design. This time around we get to see the jetways and many of the aircraft parked at the Boeing Factory aprons, including the iconic Dreamlifter.
Lastly, Verticalsim announced Provo Municipal Airport (KPVU) in Utah, United States. While on the smaller side, it covers several commuter destinations. The airport will feature the following:
- Custom 0.5cm/res ortho
- 2023 Layout
- High-resolution texturing on all major objects
- AI-Logic taxiway layout for AI traffic programs
- Animated passengers in the terminal
- Custom taxiway signage
- Proper airport lighting (wig-wags, obstruction lights, etc.)
- Usage of parallax & LODs for minimal performance loss
