Fans of colony sims will soon have something new to play -- the Clanfolk Early Access release date has been locked in for July 2022.
Last summer, Space Pirates and Zombies developer MinMax Games revealed a new game it was working on called Clanfolk. It promises to put players in charge of a Scottish clan in medieval times, with all of the trials and tribulations that entails. Check out the latest trailer to get a feel for the game:
Things start off pretty easy in Clanfolk -- the weather is good and supplies are abundant. Winter is rapidly approaching, however, and you'll have to get your people working hard in order to survive the cold.
Weather and supplies won't be your only challenges to deal with, though. Members of your clan will have various traits that can have upsides and downsides. For example, one person might have a higher metabolism and need to eat more food, but they'll also work a lot harder and faster. Other clan members might be scared of the dark, necessitating additional lighting in their bedroom.
As far as colony sims go, it looks like Clanfolk is going to be fairly interesting. Best of all, you won't have to wait too long to play it -- this game is coming to Steam Early Access in a few short weeks.
When is the Clanfolk Early Access Release Date?
The Clanfolk Early Access release date is July 14, 2022, according to a press release. The game was originally intended to launch late last year, but it was clearly delayed for unspecified reasons.
