Today EA Sports revealed the first gameplay of the upcoming American football game Madden NFL 24.
Specifically, we hear from game designer K.Spade as he walks us through part of a game between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Not only do we get to take a good look at what the game looks like, but we also hear from the developer about the differences with previous games of the franchise. The developers aimed to balance offense and defense, which is something the developers put a lot of time and effort into making sure that there is a counter for every possible tactic.
With in last year's game, Knockout was one of the most important skills, but this time around you can do without it. Efforts have been made to make sure that running is a viable option, while on the other hand, blockers will target opposing players more decisively.
We also hear that the team has aimed to encourage players to try different plays instead of sticking consistently to the same becoming predictable.
You can watch the gameplay below and see if it entices you to jump into the traditional annual franchise this year as well.
Madden NFL 24 will release on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S on August 18. It's worth mentioning that, as we learned when the game was first revealed, the last-gen versions won't have the whole feature set compared to the current-gen versions.
