Madden NFL 23

Every year, EA Sports uses Madden NFL to try to predict the outcome of the Super Bowl, and this year is no exception with Madden NFL 23

The prediction has been published with a trailer featuring former wide receiver Chad Johnson, and it predicts that the Super Bowl LVII will end with the Philadelphia Eagles defeating the Kansas City Chiefs at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. According to the game, the score will be 31-17.

You can watch the trailer below.

The history of Madden NFL's predictions of the outcomes of the Super Bowl has been a bit spotty, with the last two years ending up assigning the win to the wrong team. The last semi-correct prediction was in 2020 when the game predicted the game between The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers to end 35 to 31. It actually ended 31-20, but at least Madden got the winner right.

In 2015, the game predicted a victory of the New England Patriots against the Seattle Seahaks 28-24, and that remains the only year in which the game perfectly predicted not only the outcome, but also the score. While the result has gone back and forth, at the very least Madden got it right more times than it got it wrong, so that's not a terrible track record for a video game.

We'll have to wait and see whether this year's prediction by the storied American Football franchise ends up correct or not. Super Bowl LVII will happen on February 12, 2023, in just a few days.

Madden NFL 2023 is currently available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC
