Long Live The Queen, a cult classic visual novel/raising sim RPG that's received Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam, is coming to consoles. The Long Live The Queen console release date is just next week on July 15th, with the visual novel coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch for $10 / €10. The game was first released on PC way back in 2013, and stars princess Elodie, who is forced to make preparations to become queen after her mother's untimely death. With no skills to start, Elodie must fend off a possible civil war, invasions, assassinations, and other schemes as she tries to survive long enough to become queen.
Long Live The Queen console players will discover a game that's a mix of RPG, simulation, and strategy as players will have to choose what skills Elodie learns and then decide how to react to events and crises that will occur within her country. Many choices will not be available or lead to disaster unless Elodie has the skill needed to handle whatever problems may arise effectively. Every choice will result in ongoing consequences for the story and the country that the player is attempting to rule. The game is known for Elodie's many deaths or failures as players learn what skills are required for Elodie to make her way to the throne.
Will there be a Long Live The Queen sequel?
Yes, just last month a sequel was announced in the form of Long Live The Queen: Galaxy Princess Zorana, which takes place far in the future. Players will be the pampered daughter of a mighty emperor who dies in a freak accident. With their father dead, players will have to win over their father's underlings and be proclaimed the absolute ruler before someone else can take the Empire away from you.
