Najd getting ready to use a super-powerful special in the new The King of Fighters XV Najd breakdown trailer

SNK has released a new The King of Fighters XV Najd breakdown trailer, which takes a look at the recently-introduced DLC fighter.

Najd was revealed to be making her way to The King of Fighters XV earlier this month, and we got our first glimpse of how she'll play in that introductory trailer, too.

The new trailer offers a deeper look at her moveset, which will revolve around her Retribution of the Unknown special. The special has multiple levels, which you'll need to manage if you want to master Najd.

According to the trailer, Najd is a close-range fighter with a ton of ways to shatter her opponents' defenses once she moves in close.

Retribution of the Unknown, meanwhile, is a leaping special that can be boosted using another move called Anticipated Power. Boosting the move changes its behavior, so you'll want to use different levels in different situations.

In essence, you'll be pushing in close to your opponent with Najd while also using your Retribution of the Unknown move to deal massive damage during combos.

If you think Najd looks like the kind of fighter for you and want to master her moveset, it's well worth watching the full trailer, as it goes into pretty granular detail regarding the attacks at her disposal.

Najd is the latest DLC fighter to come to The King of Fighters XV's second season pass, following on from May's Sylvie Paula Paula.

The game also recently got a free DLC character in the form of Goenitz, who isn't part of the second season pass.

We still don't have a release date for Najd yet, but we might well get one later this week during the Evo fighting tournament.

In the meantime, you can pick up The King of Fighters XV right now on PC, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox Series X|S.
