At the Kinda Funny Games E3 2019 Showcase, it was announced that Etherborn will be releasing on July 18. Etherborn is a puzzle-platformer where you'll need to forget everything you thought you knew about gravity. Each level has been created specifically to mess with how you perceive it initially.
In the game, you play as a "voiceless being" coming to life in the mysterious and ever-changing world. A bodiless voice begins to speak to you, calling for you, waiting for you to come to it. Finding your way to that bodiless voice will hopefully lead you to answers regarding your own existence.
The world of Etherborn is one in which the very laws of physics themselves are malleable and can be bent to your will and imagination. In the world, you will traverse its environments all while "experiencing gravity perpendicular to the surface you are standing on..." which affords you the opportunity to come up with creative ways to solve the worlds puzzles and explore its strangely crafted environments. Every environmental structure you encounter has been designed like a puzzle, so you'll need to think about how you can use the particular way you interact with gravity in order to progress each obstacle. Throughout the levels and world, you will be able to collect orbs of light that act as keys to activate switches to alter the environment to enable you to continue on your way to that bodiless voice calling to you.
As you get closer and closer to the location of the voice it will continue to speak to you, dropping hints and what the world of Etherborn is and why you are there, to begin with. Finally reaching that bodiless voice is your only hope at getting the answers you seek.
Etherborn will be releasing on July 18th on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
