The Killing Floor 2 Halloween 2022 update, Blood and Bonfires, launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC today, with the event running until November 10th. It's a decently sized update in a long line of them for the zombie-killing title, although when your game has 30 million owners, you'll definitely want to keep them engaged as long as possible. As for what you're getting, the Killing Floor 2 Halloween 2022 update will include a new map, mode, weapons, and a bunch of quality-of-life improvements that should make killing Zeds easier and more painless, which is all anyone would want, eh?

The new map is called Barmwich Town, and it will be available for the Survival, Weekly, and Endless game modes. As you'd expect from Killing Floor 2, the town is infested with Zeds, which means you'll have to clear it out. The map also includes seasonal objectives if you're into that kind of thing, and if you complete all of them, you'll earn a Plague Doctor Backpack. There are also Halloween Treat Prize Tickets and Halloween Treat Golden Prize Tickets to earn as well, so you should have plenty to do during the event.

The weekly game mode included with the update is called Primary Target, and the idea is that one player is chosen as the VIP and all Zeds will target that VIP, so the rest of the team must protect the VIP from getting torn apart. If the VIP gets shredded, the team loses. To make things harder, the VIP can't heal themselves, but they will start with extra health points. If the VIP's health is low, their damage output and resistance will be boosted to give the team a fighting chance. The mode will last for seven rounds, after which a new VIP will be chosen.

As for new weapons added in this update, there are both paid and free weapons. The paid weapons are the Blood Sickle and the G36C Assault Rifle, while the free weapons are the HRG Locust and the HRG Dragonsblaze. There are also a bunch of weapon skin bundles and an outfit bundle coming with the update, so you'll have plenty of ways to look stylish while you slaughter Zeds.

You can check out Killing Floor 2 right now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and the game is also playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility.
