Killing Floor 2

David Amata, the Product Director for Tripwire Interactive, has announced that the Killing Floor franchise has reached nearly 30 million players. There will also be more events and additions next year along the lines of the recently released Killing Floor 2: Christmas Crackdown update but set in spaaacceeee. The massive number of players is due in part to the game coming to the Epic Games Store, which "added millions of new owners to the community to experience the special carnage that is Killing Floor."

Amata announced that Tripwire Interactive would again be partnering with Saber Interactive throughout next year to "deliver a similar level of content and features to what you experienced in 2020." This means more weapons to destroy zombies with, more maps, more events, more major events like Killing Floor 2: Christmas Crackdown, and quality of life additions that rely on things such as surveys, forums, and community interactions that Tripwire uses to understand what exactly is needed for the title moving forward.

A sci-fi theme was also teased, with Amata telling readers that they should brush up on their "Newtonian theories" for next year's updates. Next year's updates are apparently to be "out of this world", so it definitely seems like Killing Floor 2 will be going into space sooner rather than later, with sci-fi weapons being teased as part of this all.

Killing Floor 2 Celebrates Strong 2020

Throughout 2020, a decent amount of things have been added to the game. This includes 4 new updates, 13 new guns, 4 new maps, 6 new songs, and quality of life improvements such as better controller deadzone and acceleration sliders, which is good for the heathens that play FPS titles on PC.
