The developers at Creative Assembly have revealed the "We Took Manhattan" map making its way to the upcoming first-person shooter game, Hyenas.

We get a glimpse into the world of Hyenas, a multiplayer first-person shooter game heading to Steam. The trailer simply showcases the new map, but it does give us a good idea of what to expect. "We Took Manhattan" is obviously inspired by New York City, where we see a fallen Statue of Liberty, a few train stations and bus stops, and a couple of iconic restaurants you'd most likely see in the Big Apple. One might think that this trailer shows us the group of Hyenas literally taking over the area of Manhattan, but this is not the case. This is a recreation of the city and takes place in outer space -- not on Earth since it has been left to rot -- on the decrepit and depressing rock they call home.

Hyenas takes place on "The Taint", a run-down and unforgiving slum teeming with no-good-doers and the poorest of the poor. The rich folks were able to leave this wasteland behind and move to Mars, and while they are living it up in the lap of luxury, the less fortunate have to fend for themselves to find the means to survive.

As of writing, there is no set release date for the game, but it is currently in its Alpha state. The developers encourage gamers to sign up for the PC Alpha, which can be done on the game's official website
