Kuro Games is getting ready to open the gates of the closed beta of its upcoming action RPG Wuthering Waves, and it's celebrating by revealing the opening cutscenes.

The Chinese developer released a video showcasing the cutscene at the beginning of the game for both male and female characters.

It's certainly enigmatic, with some rather powerful symbology.

The closed beta starts tomorrow, February 26, and will be available on both PC and mobile platforms.

It will also not be covered by an NDA, which means that those who did not receive an invite will still be able to check out a metric ton of gameplay simply by checking YouTube and Twitch. It's inevitable that many will share their footage when the floodgates open.

This is the second closed beta for the game, and the developers have overhauled the game extensively based on feedback from the first round. It'll be interesting to see how the changes will be received.

In the meantime, you can check out the video below.

While the beta will be only for PC, iOS, and Android, we already know that Wuthering Waves will also come for PS5 and PS4, following the trend for similar games like Genshin Impact and Tower of Fantasy. Of course, we don't yet know when that will happen.

Kuro Games has revealed many videos and assets to showcase the game, including a video detailing monster capture,  another trailer alongside plenty of gameplay, a trailer revealing the character Sanuaanother focusing on another character, Danjin, and one showcasing Jianxin.

It'll certainly be interesting to see if it'll manage to compete on the same ground against giants like Genshin Impact. Other developers have tried to enter the same niche, but so far it appears that HoYoverse has managed to maintain a nearly undisputed dominance of the genre.
