Developer Southpaw Games and publisher Neowiz have announced the first major piece of Skul: The Hero Slayer DLC.
Unlike prior free content drops like the Dark Mirror update, the Mythology Pack won't be free, although it will accompany the free Demon King Castle Defense update sometime in November.
The Mythology Pack DLC will, as you've probably guessed, be inspired by "legendary mythologies", with artwork seemingly including a Roman soldier, a valkyrie, and an ancient Chinese warrior, among others.
In total, the Mythology Pack will introduce five new skulls, each based on a different mythological archetype.
Southpaw Games says it's designed these new skulls to "require a bit more skill to master" compared with the skulls the game already has, so if you're looking for an advanced challenge, this DLC is for you.

When you start a new run, you can pick one of the five skulls, which will then unlock that skull and add it to your skull lineup.
Afterwards, you can obtain that skull from the Bone Grave and Headless NPC on following playthroughs.
As well as the five new skulls, the Mythology Pack DLC will also add 20 new items, which are "inspired by the mythologies related to these skulls".
These items have been designed to complement both the new skulls and the existing ones, so you should be able to create some pretty impressive builds with them, even if you don't use the DLC skulls straight away.
We don't have a release date for the Mythology Pack DLC for Skul: The Hero Slayer yet, but the DLC is scheduled to arrive sometime in November.
Skul: The Hero Slayer is available right now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It can also be played on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S through backwards compatibility.
