Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.21 notes are here, building on the recently-released content for Echoes of a Fallen Star.
First on the docket is eight new quests coming to the game. Unfortunately, Square Enix is being mysterious as usual and not going into too much detail. We do know that some of the quests require that reconstruction works coming in the patch need to be completed first. Furthermore, all of these quests will require any class or job level 60.
Speaking of that, new areas are available for restoration. After players have completed the side story quest "Towards the Firmament", they'll be able to rebuild even more of the world as part of the Ishgardian Restoration.
Another interesting new addition is the "Kupo of Fortune". This is essentially a game of chance where players can deliver items and work towards cool prizes. Firstly, players must take their Kupo of Fortune card to Lizbeth in the Firmament. Then, crafting characters must submit items to the restoration effort in order to collect stamps. Collect enough stamps and you'll be able to unlock some cool new items!
What Else is Coming in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.21?
This is a pretty minor patch so far, but it does add a few cool new things to the game. There's still more to come, though!
Cosmetically-minded players will be happy to hear that a new hairstyle has been added. This hairstyle came out of the FFXIV Hairstyle Design contest and looks decidedly Final Fantasy-esque. A new emote (pictured in our header image) is also available.
If you're more about decorating, that's covered, too — a few new Moogle-themed in-game items have been added. These include an odd table and a super-adorable chair that looks like a Moogle that was run over by a steamroller.
These are far from the only additions, mind — make sure to read the Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.21 notes for all the details!
