It's always exciting when we get to see a new publisher take its first steps into gaming. Such is the case with Binary Haze Interactive, who was formed earlier this year. Now their first game, Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, has been announced, and it's looking good.
The game takes place in a world that has been ravaged by a curse. Specifically, the curse was spread by the rain, which became known as the Deadly Rain. You'll play as Lily, a priestess who survived the event but has lost her memories of what happened. With the world now infested with the undead, she sets off, hoping to find a cure and save everyone along the way. Joining her are some other characters, made up of those she has already managed to save from the curse and who appear to do the fighting for her in this metroidvania.
In addition to the lovely graphics, Ender Lilies' soundtrack will be done by Mili. The band is perhaps best known for making the introduction song for the popular anime series Goblin Slayer, though they have also worked on other anime songs, such as Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045. In addition, they contributed a few songs to the 2017 PlayStation Vita and Nintendo Switch rhythm game Deemo: Last Recital.
This is the first game being published by Binary Haze Interactive, a new publisher based in Tokyo. Ender Lilies will be developed by Live Wire and Adglobe, both of whom usually work on mobile games.
While there's currently no release date for Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, the game will be available sometime in Winter 2020 for PC and consoles.
