D3Publisher and Yuke's have announced the Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 release date, so grab your voxel gun and get ready to defend Earth in cube form once again.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 was originally announced for PlayStation and Switch back in August, following on from the original World Brothers, which was in turn revealed alongside Earth Defense Force 6.
Now, D3Publisher has revealed that World Brothers 2 will arrive on September 26th. Not only that, but pre-orders for the game are live right now across PlayStation consoles in North America and Europe, with Switch pre-orders on the way soon.
Like the original World Brothers, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 will once again feature a voxel-based visual style, so it'll be more cartoony than classic Earth Defense Force games are.
The game will serve as a love letter to the Earth Defense Force series as a whole and will feature weapons, characters, and soldiers from across the franchise's history, including mainline games and spinoffs.
You'll also be taking on enemies from previous Earth Defense Force titles, but don't worry; you'll have access to weapons from the series' vast and varied arsenal in order to help you win the day.
World Brothers 2 will feature a full English voiceover, and it'll also have support for Japanese, Chinese, and Korean voices if you prefer.
It's nice to have a concrete release date for Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. Recently, Earth Defense Force 6 was delayed from its initial spring release window to allow D3Publisher to put the "finishing touches" on the Western version of the game. It's now arriving in summer.
