Today DCS World developer Eagle Dynamics shared its annual tease of upcoming content including aircraft and maps that will arrive in 2024 and beyond.
Like in 2023, we get a spectacular trailer showcasing existing and upcoming modules. If you know Eagle Dynamics, you know they are really good at making trailers and this is no exception.
We get to see the F-4 Phantom, the F-15E Strike Eagle, the AH-64 Apache, the CH-47 Chinook, and more.
We also learn that a "full fidelity" Mig-29A Fulcrum is coming, alongside maps for Iraq and Afghanistan.
On top of that, we also see the results of continued work on the CH-47F, the Hellcat, the USS Enterprise, and the Marianas World War II map.
You can check out the trailer below and try not to be really impressed.
If you're unfamiliar with DCS World, it's a highly realistic free-to-play military flight simulator available exclusively for PC. Specifically, you can get it both on Steam or directly from Eagle Dynamics.
While it's free-to-play and you get a basic P-51 Mustang with it, getting the full experience involves the purchase of aircraft and a module that can be relatively expensive.
That being said, there often are extensive sales, and Eagle Dynamics provides a very solid free trial program for all of the modules.
Speaking of sales, the Winter Sale was supposed to end today, but it has been extended until January 5, offering plenty of discounts on Eagle Dynamic's store, which certainly helps those who would like to start.
That being said, do keep in mind that this is a hardcore simulator with high-fidelity controls and procedures.
Unless you stick with basic aircraft, you may have to do a lot of studying before you're able to master some of the more complex fighter jets and helicopters.
