Construction Simulator is getting a brand new expansion that adds even more to your building arsenal. The appropriately-named Airfield Expansion is landing on PC and consoles on June 27th, and for $10, you're getting a new campaign and some extra sub-tasks to complete.
Per a press release, Airfield Expansion will be "the most extensive expansion" for Construction Simulator since it launched back in September last year. The expansion will add a new campaign to both of Construction Simulator's maps, and the campaign will involve - you guessed it - the construction of a new airfield.
Each new campaign contains 5 main jobs to complete, as well as a series of sub-tasks to enjoy. You'll build runways, terminals, and control towers for your airfield, ensuring that it's safe for pilots to land on and take off from. Sub-tasks will also be available to keep you occupied and give you that all-important extra Construction Simulator fix.
According to publisher Astragon and developer Weltenbauer, Airfield Expansion will add around 30 hours of gameplay to Construction Simulator, so if you thought you'd wrapped up your time with the sim, then it's time to think again. Take up thy blueprints and start planning the airfield of your dreams.
Construction Simulator is the latest in what might well be one of the most practically-titled gaming franchises of all time. As the name suggests, you'll embark on a series of construction projects, using machinery and gear from a range of licensed brands including Caterpillar, BELL, and DAF. The base game contains more than 90 tasks, as well as two maps to explore and build on.
You can pick up Construction Simulator right now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The Airfield Expansion DLC will be released across all platforms on June 27th for $9.99, but if you picked up the Year 1 Season Pass, you'll get it at no extra cost, in addition to upcoming DLC like a new campaign map and other exciting additions.
