Today Amazon Games and Bandai Namco Online announced a closed technical beta test for the Western launch of the MMORPG Blue Protocol.
The test will happen next week, between November 8 and November 10, and it'll be open to players from both North America and Europe.
Being a closed beta, it'll be invite-only, and you can try your luck by registering on the official website.
The closed beta will be fully covered by NDA, so players won't be able to stream gameplay or talk about what they have played. Preloads will be available for those selected to participate starting on November 6.
Only the PC version will be tested, with the aim of testing the server infrastructure. It'll happen on a single megaserver with regional instances which will prioritize matchmaking with players from the same region, but permit partying with friends from other regions.
The system requirements are as follows:
- OS - Windows 10(64-bit)
- CPU - Intel Core_i3-4340
- Memory - 8GB RAM
- Graphics Card - NVIDIA Geforce GTX660(2GB)/ AMD Radeon R7 370(2GB)
- HDD/SSD capacity - HDD 40GB
- Display monitor resolution - 1280 x 720
- DirectX - DirectX 11 or 12
If you're unfamiliar with Blue Protocol, it's a free-to-play anime-style MMORPG already available in Japan for PC.
While the game is free-to-play, its business model will include battle passes and cosmetics also available via gacha.
The western release was originally announced in December 2022 during The Game Awards and is planned for in 2024 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S following a delay announced a few months ago.
