Bandai Namco has announced the Japanese console release date for its anime MMO Blue Protocol.
The game, which launched on PC in Japan back in June, will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on December 13th, according to a new announcement on the official Blue Protocol website.
In addition to revealing the Japanese console service start date, Bandai Namco also confirms that crossplay and cross-save functionality are fully supported between all platforms.
Although Blue Protocol supports cross-saves, Bandai Namco does point out that some data isn't eligible for cross-save.
This data includes Rose Orbs, the game's paid currency, which will be platform-specific, although you won't lose your Rose Orbs on individual platforms just by linking your account with another platform.
Other data, like characters and in-game items, will be fully compatible with cross-saves, so you don't need to worry about losing that data if you play on consoles.
If you're waiting for Blue Protocol to launch in the West, you'll have to wait a little longer, unfortunately.
The Western version of the game, which will be published by Amazon Games, is currently set to arrive sometime in 2024. No specific release date has been revealed yet.
When it does arrive, it'll offer anime action RPG shenanigans with pretty detailed character customization, as well as a range of different character classes to choose from and expansive environments to explore.
A technical test for North America and Europe was held back in early November, but there's no news regarding the next time you'll be able to try out this exciting-looking anime RPG for yourself before it launches.
Blue Protocol is set to launch in the West for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S sometime next year. It'll be a free-to-play game with battle pass and gacha systems.
