Players who are interested in exploring more of Tamriel in The Elder Scrolls Online will have a chance to dive into Sotha Sil's legendary Clockwork City to investigate a new Daedric threat. As one of the three living gods of the Tribunal, Sotha Sil was a powerful mage who was capable of bending reality, with the creation of the Clockwork City being just an example of his power. Naturally, this means that the Clockwork City will have no shortage of strange creatures and hybrid monsters inhabiting it.

In the Clockwork City DLC, you will thus be able to spend hours exploring the unforgettable architecture of the titular city, initially to investigate the murders of prominent diviners, scholars, and planar archaeologists who are dying at the hands of their own shadows. The local Mages Guild will point you at the site of the murders thanks to a note titled "Order of the Eye Dispatch", starting the prologue quest "Of Knives and Long Shadows." Along the way, you may encounter a new Trial, the Asylum Sanctorum, that is designed to challenge any 12-person group, so it may prove helpful to find some of the new unique armor sets. The Elder Scrolls Online wouldn't be much of an RPG if you couldn't modify the look of your character, so the Clockwork City DLC will also include some new and unique customization items, crafting motifs, and more.

Players will be able to purchase the Clockwork City DLC pack on October 23 for PC and Mac users, and November 7 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users. If you are an ESO Plus member, the DLC will be free, and if you aren't, then you can purchase the Clockwork City for 2,000 Crowns via the in-game store. The Clockwork City DLC does not require The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind to play. Alternatively, you can purchase the Clockwork City Collector's Edition, which will include the DLC pack, the Clockwork Skeevaton pet, a Kagouti Fabricant mount, and five Crown Experience Scrolls, at a price of 4,000 Crowns from the in-game Crown Store.

If you just can't wait to take a look at Sotha Sil's masterpiece of a city, then you can play the aforementioned prologue quest right now for free, which will reward you with a "Clockwork Obscuros" memento for your Collection.
