Today Larian Studios released the major Patch #2 for its popular RPG Baldur's Gate 3, including the promised new ending for Karlach and more.
On top of proper closure for the fans of the fiery companion (on top of new moments of reflection during the adventure), we also get Withers' Wardrobe of Wayward Friends, which lets you dismiss party members from co-op sessions which you may not want to be stuck in your group when your friends are not playing them.
On top of that, we get performance improvements, the reduction of the size of save games, the solving of a couple of major game-blocking issues, and plenty of UI improvements.
One of the most relevant of said UI improvements is the ability to delete all save games excluding the latest, which certainly will contribute to cleaning up our storage drives, especially for the save-scummers among us.
This is certainly not all, as the patch notes are very long. You can find them on Steam as we won't reproduce them here in full, both because they're massive and because they include spoilers.
Baldur's Gate 3 is currently available only for PC, while a PS5 version will be released soon on September 6 with an early access starting on September 4 for those who pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition.
An Xbox Series X|S version will also be released at some point this year, since a blocking issue has been solved by removing split-screen co-op from the Xbox Series S, at least at launch.
If you'd like to learn more about the game, you can read our review, in which our Erren Van Duine described Baldur's Gate 3 as "a masterful experience filled to the brim with player choice, a deep narrative and expansive world building."
