Baldur's Gate 3 users on Xbox Series X|S have been suffering from a sneaky but rather serious issue causing them to lose their game saves.
Microsoft already tried to solve it via a firmware update, but it failed. This time around, it appears a real solution is on the way.
Larian Studios announced via X (formerly Twitter) that the house of Xbox has finally isolated the cause of the problem and will soon fix it.
According to the studio, Microsoft will issue another firmware update that will be downloadable manually on January 16, and will then roll out to all users worldwide the following week.
While Larian can't guarantee the success of the fix, since it's on Microsoft's side, the studio says it's "optimistic" that the house of Xbox managed to get to the bottom of the issue this time around.

Although we haven’t been able to independently verify this fix, we’re optimistic that Microsoft have gotten to the bottom of it!
This isn't the only issue Baldur's Gate 3 players had on Xbox, as some have been banned for uploading clips with adult content.
