The successful release of Baldur's Gate 3 is now history, but Larian Studios is rightfully not done celebrating. Today, they released a new animated short.
Created by mashed, the short breaks the fourth walla bit with a face off between the early access versions of Shadowheart, Astarion, Gale, and Karlach and their release versions.
I'll let you guess who wins, but it really isn't a very difficult outcome to predict.
Of course, the short is absolutely hilarious, and it does a great job in capturing that slightly whimsical undertone that is certainly part of Baldur's Gate 3's unique charm
You can check it out below and see if it doesn't put at the very least a smile on your face.
Baldur's Gate 3 is available now for PC and PS5 and you can read our review in which our Erren Van Duine depicts it as "a masterful experience filled to the brim with player choice, a deep narrative and expansive world building."
If you'd like to play the game on Xbox Series X|S, you likely won't have to wait for too long, as a port for Microsoft's consoles is expected to be released by the end of the year.
While this is great news, it'll happen at the cost of split-screen co-op on Xbox Series S, which was previously blocking the release before Microsoft relented on feature parity between its two coneoles. The feature might come later, but no promises have been made.
Of course, Larian has been very busy updating the PC version, which just received another major patch few days ago, alongside a relevant hotfix.
