Atelier Resleriana will launch globally on PC and mobile devices later this week, publisher Koei Tecmo has confirmed.
The game will be the first Atelier title with a new protagonist since 2019's Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, but unlike that title, Resleriana is a free-to-play RPG.
It's launching on January 25th, according to a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), and it'll allow you to play as a number of classic Atelier characters, including the aforementioned Ryza and many more.
Atelier Resleriana - or, to give it its full title, Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Knight Liberator - was originally announced back in August last year.
It was subsequently released on mobile devices in Japan in September, going on to become a major financial success for publisher Koei Tecmo and driving record quarterly revenue for the company.
Following that launch, Koei Tecmo confirmed a Western release for the game, as well as introducing the two main characters Resna and Valeria, both of whom are new faces.
The story of Atelier Resleriana revolves around the fateful meeting between hopeful alchemist Resna and amnesiac warrior Valeria, who must team up to discover the truth behind the sinister Polar Night Alchemists.
The game promises tactical timeline-centric combat, an "easy-to-use yet profound synthesis system", and, of course, a ton of classic Atelier characters to meet and befriend.
Atelier Resleriana is the latest game in the long-running Atelier series, which also includes the popular Atelier Ryza sub-series, last year's Atelier Marie remake, and many more.
The series has proven consistently popular for publisher Koei Tecmo, even spawning spinoff media like the Atelier Ryza anime, which debuted in July last year.
You'll be able to play Atelier Resleriana when it launches on PC and mobile devices on January 25th, which is this Thursday. Stay tuned for more info.
