Today Nexon and Epic Games announced the newest free game to land on the Epic Games Store during the celebrations for the Holiday Sale, and it's DNF Duel.

The fighting game co-developed by Arc System Works, Eighting, and Neople, is now available to download and own for the steep price of zero dollars.

It brings to the table 16 playable characters from the Dungeon & Fighter franchise on top of the usual complement of online and offline gameplay modes.

DNF Duel was released in June 2022 for PC, PS4, and PS5, and in April 2023 for Nintendo Switch, soi it's a relatively new game.

It's also still receiving active DLC support from its developers (they're not giving it for free out of the goodness of their hearts, if you're wondering), with an ongoing season pass.

The Battle Mage is the latest character who was released just three days ago, following the Spectre and the Brawler, who came respectively in July and September.

Two more characters are left in the season pass and haven't yet been revealed. They will be released in 2024. Of course, if you want these, you'll need to pay extra.

The season pass is priced at $19.99, and each character on their own is priced at $6.99.

If you're interested in the Dungeon & Fighter franchise, the hardcore action RPG The First Berserker: Khazan was revealed at The Game Awards and is coming to PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

One of the developers involved in DNF Duel, Eighting, just revealed that it's working on a Hunter X Hunter fighting game for Bushiroad.

In other Epic Games Store news, today Epic Games announced that it's making an exception to let into the store games that have received an adults-only rating because they include NFT and Blockchain mechanics... for some reason that I don't even dare guessing.
