American Truck Simulator Update 1.37 has arrived and it's bringing with it a truckload of new features for cargo haulers to enjoy!

To kick things off, check out the American Truck Simulator Update 1.37 Changelog trailer to see some of these new features in action:

If you're unfamiliar with American Truck Simulator, the concept is pretty simple. You start off by renting a truck and earning some money hauling freight around a shrunk-down version of the United States. As you expand, you'll eventually be able to get your own truck and get on the road again.

You'll quickly be rolling in dough as you complete more and more successful deliveries, opening up the door to expanding your business and hiring employees. Now, a fair few new features are making their way into the game!

What's New in American Truck Simulator Update 1.37?

A core focus of Update 1.37 is a brand-new sound engine for the game based on the FMOD library. This new sound engine includes updated sounds for most A.I. vehicles like cars and trains, a true Doppler effect for passing vehicles, and new sound options accessible from the main menu.

Aside from new auditory pleasures, this will also have practical effects on the game with some other features added in this update. You can now roll down your window and enjoy the sounds of passing cars, or you can simply elect to rattle some folks in traffic with an all-new air horn.

A few new trailers are also arriving in Update 1.37. As one might expect, these new trailers can be customized with custom paint jobs to suit your style. That's not all the customization that's coming, though — owners of the Steering Creations Pack DLC will also get access to new steering wheels for their big rig.

You can read about all of the other changes in the American Truck Simulator Update 1.37 changelog. If you don't yet already own the game, you can buy it on Steam or on the Humble Store at the price of $19.99 or your regional equivalent.
