April 2019 isn't a blockbuster month for video games, however, there are still a few big releases that should be enough to warm your palate. Take a look and see if there's anything you're interested in trying out for yourself.

April 2nd

FAR: Lone Sails (Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

Coming out previously for Mac Os and Microsoft Windows, Far: Lone Sails makes its console debut on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on April 2nd. Explore a barren landscape in solitude as you try to figure out if you are the last of your species.

Darksiders: Warmastered Edition (Nintendo Switch)

Previously released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Wii U to glowing reviews Darksiders: Warmastered Edition comes to Nintendo Switch on April 2nd. This is an action adventure RPG by THQ Nordic.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid (PlayStation 4)

Released for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in March, and coming to Microsoft Windows later this year April 2nd will see the PlayStation 4 port of Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid. This is a self describes approachable fighting game for Power Rangers fans.

April 3rd

Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

Available for the first time on current generation consoles Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition comes to Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on April 3rd. This is apparently the definitive edition of the 2009 RPG.

April 4th

Death Mark (Microsoft Windows)

Released last year for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Nintendo Switch, 2D atmospheric visual novel Death Mark makes its way to Microsoft Windows on April 4th. Truly terrifying you must take on specters to remove your own Death Mark.

April 5th

Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission (Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch)

Coming to both Microsoft Windows and Nintendo Switch on April 5th we have Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission. This is an action-adventure title based on a Dragon Ball Card Game.

April 9th

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)

The original 3 Phoenix Wright games will be available in one package from April 9th as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy comes to Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. All graphics have been redrawn for this release.

Falcon Age (PlayStation VR)

Coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 and VR on April 9th we have Falcon Age. This is a first-person action adventure game where you bond with a falcon in order to help the resistance.

Zanki Zero: Last Beginning (Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4)

From the creators of Danganronpa comes Zanki Zero: Last Beginning for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4 on April 9th. While it shares many things with Danganronpa, Zanki Zero: Last Beginning is a dungeon crawler.

April 11th

Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain (PlayStation 4)

Exclusive to PlayStation 4 the latest Earth Defense Force game is coming on April 11th as Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain. This game claims to take the Earth Defense Force series in a whole new direction.

April 16th

Ghost Giant (PlayStation VR)

Coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 and VR on April 16th we have Ghost Giant. This is an indie puzzle based game with a heartwarming story.

Heaven's Vault (Microsoft Windows, Mac Os, PlayStation 4)

Also out on April 16th, we have Heaven's Vault coming to Microsoft Windows, Mac Os and PlayStation 4. From the creators of 80 Days comes this science-fiction adventure game.

Anno 1800 (Microsoft Windows)

Anno 1800 will be coming exclusively to Microsoft Windows on April 16th. This strategy simulation game takes place at the dawn of the industrial age.

World War Z (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

This whole new action survival game World War Z comes to Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on April 16th. Take on different cities around the world as they face the zombie apocalypse.

Final Fantasy X/X2 HD Remaster (Xbox One, Nintendo Switch)

Two of many of the Final Fantasy games recently ported to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, Final Fantasy X and X2 HD Remaster comes out on April 16th. The two games from the X series will be released as one package.

April 18th

Katana Zero (Mac Os, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)

Fast paced indie platformer Katana Zero comes to Mac Os, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on April 18th. Much like Deadbolt or Hotline Miami, Katana Zero features one hit kills.

Our World is Ended (PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)

Coming out on Microsoft Windows later this year, Our World is Ended comes first to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on April 18th. A team of AR developers finds out the truth about future Tokyo.

Cuphead (Nintendo Switch)

The once Microsoft exclusive is busting out on Nintendo Switch

Previously a Microsoft Windows and Xbox One exclusive title Cuphead comes to Nintendo Switch on April 18th. This hand-drawn 30s style animation title, features difficult boss battles and run and gun sections.

 
 

April 22nd

Jupiter & Mars (PlayStation 4)

Another PlayStation 4 exclusive hits the storefronts on April 22nd as Jupiter & Mars comes out. Play as dolphins and use echolocation to solve puzzles in this adventure game.

April 23rd

Mortal Kombat 11 (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

Coming to Nintendo Switch in May, Mortal Kombat 11 comes first to Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on April 23rd. 4 years after the last release in the main series Mortal Kombat 11 features all-new character customizations.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (Nintendo Switch)

Released previously on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen comes to Nintendo Switch on April 23rd. This is a Capcom action adventure RPG.

April 25th

Vambrace: Cold Soul (Microsoft Windows, Mac Os)

Slated to be released on consoles later this year, Vambrace: Cold Soul will initially release on Microsoft Windows and Mac Os on April 25th. This is a narrative-driven RPG.

Steamworld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech (Nintendo Switch)

While it has been announced that Steamworld Quest: Hand for Gilgamech will come to Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2019 its initial release will be for Nintendo Switch on April 25th. This is the latest title in the Steamworld series of games.

April 26th

Days Gone (PlayStation 4)

One of the biggest releases of the month Days Gone comes exclusively to PlayStation 4 on April 26th. Follow the story of a bounty hunter from a former biker gang trying to survive and reliving Days Gone.

Box Boy! + Box Girl! (Nintendo Switch)

Coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch on April 26th is Box Boy! + Box Girl!. This puzzle platformer contains 270 all-new puzzles to play.

April 30th

Fade to Silence (Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, PlayStation 4)

Seeing itself escape Early Access, Fade to Silence becomes fully available on Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on April 30th. This is a survival based RPG.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age (Xbox One, Nintendo Switch)

The second Final Fantasy port for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch comes in the form of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age releasing on April 30th.
