Bravely Default 2 Compound List

The Salve-Maker job in Square Enix's recently released JRPG, Bravely Default 2, possesses a very unique ability indeed. Using a skill called "Compounding," the Salve-Maker can combine consumable items together to create powerful potions and bombs. These Compounded items typically either heal the party or inflict status effects on the enemy.

There are a lot of items which can be mixed together to create new Compounded results. This guide features a list of useful combinations to help you out in battle when you've got a Salve-Maker on your team.

When you have a Salve-Maker in your party, special items only used in Compounding will drop as rewards after completing a battle. These items will also be added to shops after completing Chapter 3 of Bravely Default 2.

These special items are Dreadstool, Healing Herb, Healing Bloom, Hush Pollen, Ink, Magic Herb, Numbneedle, Pathogen, Spellblossom, Wildweed and Witch's Whisper.

The available compounds are:

Bravely Default 2 Compounding

Bravely Default 2 Compund - Healing Herb & Healing Bloom Compounds

Any healing potion x Healing Herb / Healing Bloom = More powerful  Potion

Any MP-restoring item x Healing Herb / Healing Bloom = More powerful Ether

Phoenix Down x Healing Herb / Healing Bloom = Resurrect

Any status-curing item X Healing Herb / Healing Bloom = More powerful status-curing item

Any attack item x Healing Herb / Healing Bloom = Poison Bomb or Big Poison Bomb

Bravely Default 2 Compund - Magic Herb & Spellblossom Compounds

Any healing potion x Magic Herb / Spellblossom = Elixir (restores MP and HP)

Any MP-restoring item x Magic Herb / Spellblossom  = More powerful Ether

Phoenix Down x Magic Herb / Spellblossom  = Reincarnate

Any status-curing item x Magic Herb / Spellblossom = Squib

Any attack item x Magic Herb / Spellblossom = Sleep Bomb or Big Sleep Bomb

Bravely Default 2 Compounding

Bravely Default 2 Compund - Status Item Compounds

The other items used in Compounding are each associated with a specific detrimental status condition. These are:

Dreadstool - Dread

Hush Potion - Silence

Ink - Blindness

Numbneedle - Paralysis

Pathogen - Contagion

Wildweed - Confusion

Witch's Whisper - Charm

Any healing item x Any of the above items = Cure Associated Status

Any MP restorative item x Any of the above items = Squib

Phoenix Down x Any of the above items = Squib

Any status-curing item x Any of the above items = Squib

Any attack item x Any of the above items = Associated Status Bomb

The Squib, which is produced when a compound has no special result, is a weak bomb item which only does around 100 damage. When using a Salve-Maker, you should avoid creating Squibs if at all possible.
