Neo Cab takes place in the near future in the city of Los Ojos, California. A megacorporation called Capra has taken over most of the modern world, with its technology taking over most of everyone's lives. You play as Lina, the last human ride-share service driver in the city. You'll pick up an assortment of passengers, each affected by Capra in different ways. Lina's bracelet, the FeelGrid, glows different colors depending on her mood. By wearing her emotions almost literally on her sleeve, she hopes to manage her mental state better. But be warned, your emotional state can lock off certain dialogue options. Ultimately, your goal is to figure out how and why your best friend went missing, as you believe Capra has something to do with her disappearance.

From the game's website:

"Stay human in a world overcome by automation. Play as Lina, one of the last human driver-for-hire on the streets of Los Ojos. Your friend and only lifeline has gone missing; with no money and nowhere to stay, the only thing you can do is keep driving. Choose what passengers to pick up and how you engage with them to learn their stories. Balance your own emotional wellbeing with the needs of your pax as you strive to keep your perfect rating, and your job. Maybe someone in this city can help you with your own story?"

Developer Quote

Hold on to humanity in a world overcome by automation. Play as Lina, the last human driver-for-hire on the streets of Los Ojos. Your friend and only lifeline has gone missing; with no money and nowhere to stay, your only leads are the passengers that get in your car.

From the Neo Cab app, you’ll choose your passengers and navigate the city grid. Each character you meet has their own story to tell and secrets to share, if you can figure out what they want to hear.

But watch what you say—you’ll need to maintain your star rating to stay on the road. Plus, every choice you make affects your mood, and your mood will affect what choices are available to you.

Can you make enough money to crash in fancy hotels, or will you sleep in your car? Will you be able to get passengers to open up to you, without selling out your own emotional health?

As you discover the truth about your friend’s disappearance, the connections you make along the way can make or break your adventure in Los Ojos.

Meet people. Learn their stories. Stay human!
