Martha Is Dead is first person psychological horror title by the developer of The Town of Light. Set in 1944 Italy, Giulia has been traumatised by the loss of her twin sister Martha. Attempting to find the truth behind Martha's death and come to terms with this loss, Guilia explores Tuscany countryside in search of answers.
You play as Guilia during her search, exploring areas inspired by real facts and places that have been faithfully reconstructed. To get to new areas, Guilia can also make us of a bike and boat while navigating the countryside.
During your search, you can keep track of what's happening in the war-torn world by collecting newspapers and telegrams, or listening to the radio. Martha Is Dead also features a full photography system, letting you take pictures with a number of attachments, then develop them via the in-game dark room. While this is occasionally required to progress, you can also take photos of whatever you want.
As conflict intensifies between German and Allied forces, the desecrated body of a woman is found drowned… Martha!
