Total War: Three Kingdoms is the next chapter in the seminal Total War franchise developed by Creative Assembly. Three Kingdoms is the first to explore ancient China as its battlefield theatre. As with previous Total War titles, players should expect a gripping turn-based campaign with empire-building, statecraft, and conquest with realistic real-time battles. It takes place in China in the year 190, a beautiful but fractured land. You must be the emperor that will forge the next great dynasty and build a lasting legacy. Three Kingdoms aims to redefine the series.

Three Kingdoms China is a land of breathtaking natural beauty. Battles can take place in lush subtropical jungles, arid deserts, and snow-capped mountains. Legendary landmarks such as the Great Wall and the Yangtze River can be admired. Players will be able to explore the broad territory of ancient China as they restore harmony to its embattled landscape. To accomplish that they must choose one of 11 legendary warlords drawn. from China’s historical epic, the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. There is also a system called Guanxi, based on the Chinese concept of dynamic inter-relationships, which takes a “paradigm-shifting approach to character agency, with iconic, larger-than-life heroes and their relationships defining the future of ancient China.” These characters are brought to life with unique personalities, motivations, and likes/dislikes.
