The Binding Of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and its Afterbirth expansion managed to successfully keep in the crowd that the original game brought, and were seen as a great remake and expansion that many people enjoyed. It's getting one more before developer Nicalis moves onto its next game: The Legend of Bum-Bo.

While the developers have spent a lot of time hyping up the dev tools that will allow players to make mods, they have promised that there's more to Afterbirth+ than that. They've said they were still running the contest from a couple weeks ago and figuring out what items to add, but they do have 55 they will be putting in. Also being added in will be a completely new final chapter that will feature a new boss and a new ending. There will also be a new playable character, a new "greed hard" mode, daily greed runs, challenges, achievements, and a few new bosses. At the current time, there is no set release date for Afterbrith+, but it will be before the end of 2016.

They also took the time to confirm that Afterbirth, the first expansion, will be coming to consoles within the next three weeks. It will be hitting the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One "soon" with a Nintendo Wii U release following shortly after. The next announcement was that Afterbirth+ will also be hitting consoles, likely shortly after the PC version launches, but it won't include the mod tools there. Finally, they say that they're still pushing to get The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth on iOS, but right now there's not much else to say about that.

As for The Legend of Bum-Bo, information is still scarce but just a tiny bit more was provided. Worried that people may believe it's a Paper Mario-styled JRPG, a little bit more clarification was provided about it. Now it is being described as a cross between The Binding of Isaac and Puzzle Quest with a bit of Magic: The Gathering thrown in for good measure. The only other stuff said about it was

"it [is] a randomly generated, puzzle based, turn based, combat driven ball of chaos and poo! and its coming together quite nicely.. "
While it's not much to go off of, we're still waiting to see what else comes out of The Legend of Bum-bo.
