Edmund McMillen has been hard at work on The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+, the second expansion to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, but today he announced that fans can submit their item ideas in a Reddit thread and that he would be picking at least 10 to put into the game.

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is currently still in the works, with McMillen saying he has been spending most of his time working on mod tools for the expansion. Yet he has stated that he has begun work on new content as well and has added 55 new items to the game so far. Now he wants some fan suggestions, and is asking specifically for "out of the box shit." He asks that posters try to focus more on what the item will do rather than what it would look like. Afterbirth+ is also going to be adding new bosses and enemies to the game and will be treated like a full expansion.

McMillen also noted that The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth, the first expansion that shouldn't be confused with Afterbirth+, has been finished and submitted for approval for consoles and will be launching soon.

Finally McMillen talked a bit about the still mysterious The Legend of Bum-bo. When it was announced a couple weeks ago McMillen described it as a turn based RPG, but in this update he tries to offer up some new descriptions of it: "randomly generated turn based puzzle strategy” is his first, and "poop based punching simulator" is his second. He says this was because people were confused by the RPG part of his original description, and that he considered The Binding of Isaac to be an RPG. McMillen also says that development on the game is going well and that he hopes to have a teaser for it in the next few months, along with some real screenshots. In the mean time, he has provided half of an official screenshot:
