Capcom has uploaded an interesting item to the Steam workshop - the main character from Okami HD has been submitted as the Amaterasu courier for Dota 2 as reported by PC Games N.
Following rumors about its release, Okami HD was officially announced in Japan and eventually for the Western world as well as one of the many games releasing this December. CAPCOM is, of course, working on marketing their upcoming re-release of the game. However, it appears that they've decided to go about it in a rather unusual way - by creating a courier for Dota 2 and uploading it to the Steam workshop.
This is definitely not a fan-made creation - the Amaterasu courier seems to have been genuinely created by Capcom. The YouTube trailer featured on the Steam workshop submission page has been uploaded as an unlisted video on one of CAPCOM's official YouTube channels. Have a look at it below:
If you're not familiar with Dota 2 (or MOBAs in general), a courier is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. Couriers ferry items for players who are out and about on the game map, saving them from having to physically return to item shops or their stash to deposit or retrieve items. While it might seem a bit unusual to submit a character from another game, Dota 2 has its fair share of cosmetic couriers from a variety of themes ranging from basic animals to a shark on wheels.
Should you like to show your support for this particular pupper making it into Dota 2, you can vote on the Steam Workshop page for the Amaterasu courier. As for Okami HD, you can pre-purchase it on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC via Steam for $19.99 or your regional equivalent. Okami HD releases on all three platforms on December 12, 2017.
