New info on the next The Planet Crafter update has been revealed -- new biomes, new caves, and more will be coming to the first-person terraforming game next week.
The Planet Crafter puts players in the shoes of a prisoner who has been sentenced to terraforming a planet -- a seemingly impossible task. Developer Miju Games has already revealed some of its plans for the future of this game; now, its first major post-launch update is set to arrive later in May 2022.
What's Coming in the Next The Planet Crafter Update?
The next The Planet Crafter update will be bringing some welcome additions to the game. The Caves & Crater Update will make it a little easier to get Zeolite and Pulsar Quartz, and that's just the start.
Let's start with "caves" part of the update name. New caves are being introduced with Zeolite, Pulsar Quartz, and Osmium. It's unclear you'll be able to automatically mine Zeolite and Pulsar Quartz with an Ore Extractor as you can with the other resources.
This update will also feature the introduction of three new biomes: Arches, Balcony, and Meteor Crater. New machines, events, and secrets are coming, too, so these new areas will probably have a fair amount of content to explore. 2 new rockets are coming, too.
Additionally, the game's somewhat lackluster mapping system is getting some sort of unspecified improvement as one of the many quality-of-life changes in this update. Other QoL changes include chain crafting, change building, an improved food grower, and an improved building system.
