Today Warner Bros. Games and Netherrealm Studios officially revealed the cast for the Kombat Pack 1, which includes the first six DLC fighters coming post-launch for Mortal Kombat 1.
We get three returning fighters from the past of the series, Quan Chi, Ermac, & Takeda Takahashi. On top of that, we also get to see three guest characters, Homelander from The Boys, DC Comics' Peacemaker (starring John Cena), and Omni-Man from Invincible.
We also learn that Homelander will come in spring 2024.
You can check out the trailer below, but for once, you're not going to see bloody fatalities. If you want that, you need to check out the other video released today, focusing on Li Mei, Tanya, and Baraka.
Mortal Kombat 1 will release on September 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. If you'd like to see more, you can enjoy the original reveal, another gameplay trailer, and one focusing on the Lin Kuei.
You can also read our hands-on preview in which our Robert Scarpinito describes his time with a build of the game and the new Kameo system. The game tells the story of an entirely different Mortal Kombat timeline focused on a universe created by Fire God Liu Kang, so you shouldn't be surprised to see some things that may feel considerably foreign for veteran fans of the series.
