The Yuletide Tale Expansion Announcement
According to an official press release, The Yuletide Tale expansion will introduce new locations and events to Betrayal at House on the Hill.
The expansion includes two characters not seen in previous editions of the game, complete with a miniature and removable base, two full-color room tiles, two haunt books, a story prologue book, four game cards, a scenario card, and four clips.
In addition, The Yuletide Tale expansion features artwork, rulebooks, trackers, and cards to help new players navigate.
As the name implies, The Yuletide Tale expansion introduces new festive scenarios to the game. Due to a magical mishap, these two new characters arrive in the guise of beloved holiday characters. To make matters worse they also have magical powers.
Betrayal at House on the Hill is a suspenseful haunted house board game. Three to six players slowly explore a haunted house, adding location tiles to the board as they move from room to room.
But while the players uncover the secrets of the mansion, one of the players will attempt to betray the rest of the party. If the innocent players wish to survive, they will have to figure out who they can trust.
This is the second major expansion for the current edition of Betrayal at House on the Hill. The first expansion, Werewolf's Journey Blood on the Moon, introduced lycanthropic elements to the game.
There was even a D&D-themed spin-off, aptly titled Betrayal at Baldur's Gate.
The Yuletide Tale expansion will be available Nov. 1 2023 at an MSRP of $21.99. The expansion is available for pre-order right now on Hasbro Pulse's store page.
