Fans of the forces of Chaos have received their share of support in the grimdark sci-fi miniatures game of Warhammer 40k. In addition to substantial changes to point values for matched play as well as errata, They have recently released new material for the Chaos Space Marines and announced Daemon Primarch Angron will be coming to the battlefield. Now, Games Workshop has announced that a new Warhammer 40k Chaos Daemon codex is on the way.

What is in the New Warhammer 40k Chaos Daemon Codex?

In an official Warhammer-Community post, Games Workshop went into further detail about the Warhammer 40k Chaos Daemon codex. The codex will be 152 pages and will contain 56 datasheets, 25 Warlord Traits, 24 Relics, 36 Stratagems, as well as a new slate of psychic powers, bringing the army to the new standard of play for Warhammer 40k Ninth Edition. It must be noted that these mechanics will not only be separated between the followers of the four Chaos Gods: Tzeetch, Nurgle, Slaanesh, and Khorne, but dedicated mechanics and traits will also be coming to the first Daemon Prince, Be'lakor, and his own Army of Renown. Finally, the codex will include a comprehensive Crusade section, where you can play out a campaign of these incomprehensible forces beyond human understanding playing a grand cosmic game of conquest.

When Will The Warhammer 40k Chaos Daemon Codex Be Available?

At the time of writing, there is no release date for the new Warhammer 40k Chaos Daemon army codex. While it can be speculated that the recently announced Angron model would coincide with the codex's release, Angron is more closely associated with the World Eaters, a completely separate army from Chaos Daemons. As always, if you wish to stay updated on any future release dates, Games Workshop does have a dedicated newsletter.
