A new expansion to Star Wars: Villainous is coming. The widely popular Star Wars spin-off board game released last August, allows players to step into the shoes of the galaxy's most diabolical villains. It managed to stand out among both Disney Villainous and Marvel Villainous thanks to the inclusion of Vehicle cards. Now, with Star Wars Villainous: Scum and Villainy, players can add a more mercenary edge to their games.
Star Wars Villainous: Scum and Villainy announcement
In a press release, Ravensburger announced Star Wars Villainous: Scum and Villainy. This is the first standalone expansion for the Star Wars Villainous line. As the name implies, this expansion will introduce three new playable characters. Those characters are the notorious bounty hunters Boba Fett and Cad Bane, and the Empire's own Seventh Sister Inquisitor. Since this is a Villainous game, each character has their own special abilities as well as their own unique win conditions dealt via missions and Fate cards. As Boba Fett, players can switch sides on the board. Since bounty hunters end up fighting each other for a few extra credits this fits. Cad Bane relies on allies for initial attacks before coming in with the final blow. As for the Seventh Sister, her focus is on defeating several key Heroes no matter the cost.
With each Villainous set, we strive to bring incredible and iconic characters alongside new, immersive gameplay elements that make players alter how they approach the game,” said Mike Mulvihill, Game Developer and Villainous Lead at Ravensburger. “In the Star Wars Villainous: Scum and Villainy game, we wanted to open up with specialized mechanics for talented pursuers across the timeline and lore who are always right on the heels of our Heroes, creating endless new matchups for players to explore.
Star Wars Villainous: Scum and Villainy is available for pre-order on Target.com at an MSRP of $29.99. The game will release on July 30th.
