Asmodee Publishing and Z-Man's distinct Pandemic game system may have started with players racing against the clock to contain and cure dangerous viral plagues, but the system has been used to adapt other game ideas such as Pandemic: Fall of Rome, Pandemic: Cthulhu Mythos, and even bringing The Wrath of the Lich King to gaming tables. According to an official press release by Asmodee publishing, the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Pandemic game will be based primarily on the 2008 CG animated series. You and up to four of your friends will take on the roles of legendary Star Wars heroes and defend the Galactic Republic against Separatist forces.
The Star Wars: The Clone Wars Pandemic game will contain four narrative scenarios where you and your team work together to fend off enemies, lead by a major villain like Count Dooku or General Grievous. You and your friends will play as iconic Jedi like Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, and Yoda, all of which have their own distinct Force powers to assist on the battlefield. In addition, you can gain assistance from other supporting heroes like Commander Rex, Padme Amidala, and R2-D2. Each of the scenarios can be completed many different ways, through a combination of Force powers or supporting character assistance, ensuring that not every scenario plays out exactly the same.
Finally, the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Pandemic game will feature a galaxy-spanning game board, illustrated cards, and detailed miniatures depicting the heroes, villains, as well as various droids and battleships
