Back in June, it was revealed that the one-of-a-kind Magic: The Gathering The One Ring card was found. This card was printed as part of their Universes Beyond set, The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth.

Now, the lucky buyer hasn't just revealed themself, they have sold the card to famous rap musician, Post Malone.

Post Malone and the Magic: The Gathering The One Ring Sale

Post Malone's purchase of The One Ring card was made public through a post on X (formerly Twitter). In the video, Malone is seen with the card, still in its official PSA packaging, along with the original buyer.

That buyer is named Brook Trafton. While Trafton elected to remain anonymous in the month since the card's discovery, he has since uploaded a TikTok of him first obtaining the card, lending to its authenticity.

In the body of the post, Trafton said the following:

“This is my dream come true. Meeting Post Malone and him buying the One Ring card from me is literally a moment straight out of a fairytale. Post Malone, Magic: The Gathering, you have changed my life. Things like this don’t happen to people like me, I guess it’s magic. I am forever grateful.”

This isn't the first time Post Malone has been associated with Magic: The Gathering. In addition to being a vocal collector and player, the famous artist has had his likeness used for two different Secret Lairs as part of last year's October superdrop.

According to the PSA, the Magic: The Gathering The One Ring card received a Mint 9 grading. This is an almost perfect mint condition.

The question still remains, however, how much was The One Ring sold for? At the height of the worldwide search for the card, a $1 million bounty was put up. Since then, resellers have seen offers for the card as high as $2 million.

Neither Trafton nor Malone have disclosed how much the card was sold for.
