Games Workshop and medieval clothing company Burgschneider have announced a new range of official Warhammer cosplay items.

Specifically inspired by Warhammer: The Old World, this range of outfits and accessories will "find themselves at home in a range of activities", according to Burgschneider, including tabletop sessions, LARP games, and cosplay.

The range, which hasn't been fully revealed yet, will include armor pieces, weaponry, and civilian outfits, all themed around the classic fantasy version of Warhammer. Sorry, 40k fans. Your time to wear entire cathedrals of metal on your shoulders will hopefully come.

If you've ever wanted to immerse yourself more in your Warhammer: The Old World sessions, look no further than Burgschneider's new range.

Along with announcing the new range, Burgschneider and Games Workshop have also released a debut trailer giving us a brief glimpse at some of the items we'll be able to buy.

Not only does the trailer show off some of those items (albeit rather briefly; the full range has yet to be unveiled, after all), but it also gives us some history regarding Burgschneider and why its staffers are excited to work with Warhammer.

Art director Beol Miller says that one of Burgschneider's fundamental design principles is the idea that "costumes should act as a canvas", allowing those who wear them to make up their own stories and create more immersive experiences.

Burgschneider says its range of "costuming, armor, latex weapons, and accessories" will be available this summer. You can sign up for early access to get sneak peeks and early glimpses of costumes right here.

If you're not familiar with Warhammer: The Old World, it's a sort of prequel-come-reboot of the Warhammer fantasy miniatures game, set during the centuries before Age of Sigmar.

The Old World is intended to serve as a sort of callback to the days of Warhammer Fantasy Battle, and features rules inspired by (although not identical to) the classic incarnation of Warhammer.
