Today, during the celebrations for Warhammer Day 2023, Games Workshop finally announced the release window of its next tabletop game Warhammer: The Old World.
The game that will bring back the beloved old setting and ranked regiments will finally be on the shelves in early 2024. As a matter of fact, it'll be one of the first releases of the year.
To celebrate, GW also revealed a ton of Bretonnian miniatures that will be released for The Old World.
We get to see a Lord on Pegasus (that you can use as Duke or Baron), a Battle Standard Bearer on Pegasus, Knights of the Realm on Foot, Pegasus Knights, Knights of the Realm, Men-at-Arms, Peasant Bowmen, the Handmaiden of the Lady, and the classic Field Trebuchet.
These add to the miniatures already revealed over the past months, and they will add to "a selection of returning metal heroes and specialist units."
You can take a look at all the miniatures below.
If you'd rather see them in a slightly more animated format, you can take a look at the trailer below.
The release of Warhammer: The Old World will (at least in part) atone for the original sin of The End Times, with which Games Workshop discarded one of the best fantasy settings of all time in favor of Age of Sigmar.
Since then, veteran players who missed the only real Warhammer had to seek refuge in Creative Assembly's Total War: Warhammer series, which provided a measure of solace following GW's betrayal.
One thing is for sure: as an old Bretonnian general, it'll be good to be home.
