A new tabletop developer has announced a partnership with Gamefound. Gale Force Nine, developer of several Pathfinder board games, has agreed to an official partnership with the crowdfunding platform, with a set number of projects already announced.

According to an official press release from Gale Force Nine, the publisher's decision to partner with Gamefound was thanks to the major success of their first collaboration.

Firefly: The Game - 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition raised roughly $3.5 million during its initial campaign. Not only did it show just how passionate the FIrefly community was for the property, but it was also a testament to the developer's dedication to quality experiences.

“We’re incredibly excited about our partnership with Gamefound,” said John-Paul Brisigotti, CEO at Gale Force Nine.“Working together to bring the Firefly project to gamers and retailers alike proved not only a wonderful test but also opened up possibilities for our other properties that have led to this new partnership. It’s about more than just launching games; it’s about strengthening our connection with our players and continuing to deliver unforgettable experiences but now in new ways”

This partnership between Gamefound and Gale Force Nine will cover three new board game projects over the next two years. Those projects are as follows:

  • The Adventures of Conan (April 2024): An asymmetrical 2-4 player dice game set in the Hyborian Age of Conan The Barbarian.
  • Star Trek Ascendancy: The Final Frontier (Late 2024): A definitive collector's edition of the Star Trek board game. This release will include the base game and all seven expansions.
  • Dune: Kwisatz Haderach (Early 2025): A definitive version of the Dune board game based on the sci-fi series. This will include the base game and all three expansions.

Gale Force Nine's partnership with Gamefound isn't the first. Another acclaimed tabletop developer, CMON Entertainment, has also partnered with the platform for an undisclosed number of board game projects.
