Today Alex Roberts, designer of For The Queen, has announced that a Second Edition of her popular card-based story-building is on its way and will be published by Darrington Press. Fans of Darrington Press' prior works may recognize Alex Roberts' name for her work doing additional design work on Till the Last Gasp.

For The Queen's Second Edition will release on May 14th, 2024. This new release will bring with it new art, improved packaging, and refined prompt cards. Talking about each of these changes Roberts said "Fans are going to love the new material - and I think we'll be making some new fans too. For the Queen was always meant to be the roleplaying game you could play with anyone, any time. So you can imagine how stoked I am to bring it to a new and wider audience!"

Detailing more of the improvements Darrington Press has highlighted that a lot of work has gone not only into the way the game looks, but also how it plays. Rules and Question Cards have refined descriptions to help with efficiency of play.

What is For The Queen?

For the Queen is a collaborative story-telling game where 2-6 players each choose a queen from the available roster and then by using prompt cards create a story together. Each game is expected to take 30 to 120 minutes but with story-telling and roleplay you can fit stories in wherever you can. Not only does the game have Tarot sized cards for each of the 14 queens (Now 20?) and 46 prompt cards but there is also an X-Card to assist with removing content you don't want in the game.
