Upcoming zombie shooter Zombie Army 4: Dead War has a release date. The game will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 4th next year. Publisher Rebellion has also announced that iZombie scribe Chris Roberson will write a prequel novel for the game titled Zombie Army: Fortress of the Dead.
The novel takes place shortly before the events of the main Zombie Army 4: Dead War campaign. It follows a squad of "deadhunters" - zombie hunters - as they journey into the Alps looking for answers. Who carried out Plan Z? Is there a hidden Nazi fortress deep in the mountains? Does it have anything to do with who's calling the shots over the undead? All these questions and more will be answered in Roberson's novel. It'll hit US shelves on February 4th and will launch in the UK on February 6th.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War is, believe it or not, the fourth in Rebellion's Zombie Army shooter series. The game will feature a new campaign for up to 4 players which will take place across several huge Southern European levels. You can expect plenty of new zombies to slaughter, new weapons to collect, and classic Rebellion-style zombie-killing action. Like the novel, Zombie Army 4 will launch on February 4th in the US.
