Xbox Game Pass will be getting a selection of EA Play games on Android and a Disney+ trial soon. Furthermore, 11 new games are coming to the service while other titles are making their departure.
Microsoft has been making its Xbox Game Pass subscription service a better value at every opportunity and it just got better. The major addition is several EA Play titles being added to an already massive library along with a lot more games, but that's not all that's on the way.
What Games Are Coming to Xbox Game Pass Soon?
11 games are coming to Xbox Game Pass over the next month; each game will launch for specific platforms on a certain day. Here's what's on the way:
- Gears Tactics – Android & Xbox – November 9, 2020
- Destiny 2: Beyond Light – Android & Xbox – November 10, 2020
- Planet Coaster: Console Edition – Android & Xbox – November 10, 2020
- Tetris Effect: Connected – PC & Xbox – November 10, 2020
- Final Fantasy VIII Remastered – PC & Xbox – November 12, 2020
- Gonner2 – Android – November 12, 2020
- Streets of Rogue – PC – November 12, 2020
- Ark: Survival Evolved: Explorer's Edition – Android, Xbox, & PC – November 17, 2020
- Halo 4 (via Halo: The Master Chief Collection – PC – November 17, 2020
- River City Girls – Android, Xbox, & PC – November 19, 2020
- Star Renegades – Android & Xbox – November 19, 2020
There's a nice mix of games here along with some pretty big additions. Ark and Destiny 2 should give players plenty to do with massive worlds for them to explore. As for Halo 4, it was announced as coming to PC just this morning.
What EA Play Games Are Coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Of course, the addition of EA Play to the Game Pass service means that a bunch more games are also on the way as part of this deal. Here are the EA Play Game Pass games:
- Dragon Age: Inquisition
- Madden NFL 20
- Mass Effect: Andromeda
- Mirror’s Edge Catalyst
- Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2
- The Sims 4
- Unravel 2
All of the EA Play games will be available on Android via cloud gaming.
How Does the Xbox Game Pass Disney+ Trial Work?
One of the more surprising additions is an included trial of Disney+. While quite a few services have bundled in deals with other services — Microsoft has previously worked to add Spotify Premium as one of many Game Pass deals — Disney+ won't be entirely free for the duration of your membership.
Game Pass subscribers can score a 30-day trial of Disney+ provided that they are a new subscriber to the streaming service. After those 30 days expire, customers will be billed $6.99/month or their regional equivalent. Do keep in mind that Disney+ is not available in all regions.
What Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass Soon?
Sadly, not all games can stay on Xbox Game Pass forever. A selection will be leaving the service on November 10, 2020, as noted in today's announcement:
- Darksiders III (Console & PC)
- Munchkin (Console & PC)
- The Talos Principle (Console & PC)
- Tracks: The Train Set Game (Console & PC)
If you haven't yet signed up for Microsoft's subscription service, you can get started with Xbox Game Pass for just $1 for the first month; after that, it will cost you between $9.99–$14.99 a month or your regional equivalent.
