Wargaming has announced that legendary thrash metal band Megadeth is heading to World of Tanks and World of Warships.
In what the studio is calling a "multi-product musical in-game event", Megadeth mascot Vic Rattlehead, as well as each of the four band members, will be featured in a series of in-game outfits and voiceovers.
The band joins luminaries like Chuck Norris, as well as properties like Warhammer 40,000 and horror franchise Silent Hill, in the World of Tanks hall of fame.
First off, if you're playing console game World of Tanks Modern Armor, you'll be able to complete Challenges to unlock Megadeth-themed rewards, and two new tanks based on Megadeth album artwork will be available in the Store.
This promotion will be available between August 29th and September 25th and will also include 2D Commanders based on Megadeth's Dirk Verbeuren, Kiko Loureiro, and James Lomenzo, all of whom will have unique voiceovers.
World of Tanks Blitz, meanwhile, is getting a special Megadeth quest with skins and collectible items, as well as an "exact replica of Dave Mustaine's guitar" for your Hangar (presumably not Hangar 18).
This one's running between August 29th and September 3rd.
In World of Warships on PC, Dave Mustaine will be added as a ship commander, as well as Vic Rattlehead, and a cruiser inspired by the classic album Rust in Peace will also be available.
It plays "Tornado of Souls", and if you haven't obliterated an enemy warship to Marty Friedman's blistering solo, you haven't lived.
Finally, in World of Warships Legends, players will get guises for both Dave Mustaine and Vic Rattlehead, as well as a Rattlehead cruiser, a themed patch, and a Megadeth flag.
World of Tanks Modern Armor is available to play right now on PlayStation consoles and Xbox One, while World of Tanks Blitz is available on mobile platforms and Nintendo Switch.
World of Warships can be played on PC, and its console counterpart, World of Warships Legends, is available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
