Today Atlus and Vanillaware released a new trailer and information about the upcoming tactics JRPG Unicorn Overlord

This time around, we learn that digital pre-orders are going live tonight at 9 PM PST. Incidentally, if you'd rather have it physical, you can pre-order a copy on Amazon.

Pre-order bonuses include three emblems that can be used in-game to customize your flag inspired by both Atlus and Vanillaware games.

The trailer focuses on exploration gameplay, and specifically the many things the players can do while traveling the overworld.

Of course, you can take on battles against the empire and other enemy forces, on top of quests that can provide rewards or even unlock new allies.

All quests are listed in a dedicated tracker, so if one is too difficult you can go back to it at a later time.

We also get to see how you can liberate settlements and rebuild them to unlock a variety of establishments useful for your cause. These include taverns where you can have delicious meals in the bigger walled cities.

You can watch the trailer below. While it's voiced in Japanese, it includes English subtitles.

Speaking of pre-orders, below you can take a look at the emblems unlockable as pre-order bonuses.

While Unicorn Overlord was announced during the Nintendo Direct in September, it's actually fully multiplatform and it's coming for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on March 8, 2024.

If you'd like to see more of this very promising (and definitely fetching in terms of art) game, you can take a look at another gallery of screenshots and details on top of a second showing more characters and providing more information, and a third with even more members of the cast

If you love games by Vanillaware, you have reasons to celebrate, as the studio's previous tile, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, has recently passed 1 million units sold worldwide.
